Hey
cheers Viid.
The Co2 bottle is 3.5kg.
Lasts approx. 5-6 months.
But it does have a solenoid and is timed with the lights.
so not on 24 hours
Doing I think 1-2 bubbles per second.
Can't quite remember, haven't checked it in awhile.
cheers Viid.

That is looking sweet Dan! I liked it when I saw it after your clean up but this looks like a well established environment now, the fish must love it

How big is the tank that your using?
It looks like a 2ft but i couldnt find that light for that size tank. How big is the light and were did you get it from
Looks awsome btw
Did you use planting tools for this? I find that as plants want to float it is hard to position them with much accuracy.
Im very gelous as its such a beautiful set up.
Thanx
Elle

Hey
Thanks kevy73 and Elle.
It is a 4 foot tank.
Lights are from ebay
Didn't use any planting tools, after forking out the $$ to get it where it is, didn't have any left for planting tools

How does the solenoid work? Where did you get it? Interested in the hows and why as it is getting tedious turning off my co2 bottle each night then getting the flow rate right again...

Hey Kevy73
I'm not expert so may want to google.
But my solenoid is plugged into a timer.
When the power is on, the solenoid turns on and lets the gas out.
When the power is off, the solenoid closes and the gas stops coming out.
e-bay may be a good place to look for a salenoid or I'm not sure an electrical place?
My regulator came with a solenoid.
A cheaper option I suppose for you is you could use an airpump at night to cancel out the CO2 only when the lights are off.

Hi Andrea,
The close up is deceiving! Makes the tank look better than it actually is
Here is a full tank shot.
Cheers
