yeah man mine are going awesome. i can never ever post photos on here! but ill try on a different computer.
they are the best aquatic animal ive had kept!!!

And they now hand feed!!! (female more so)

i have the garnet sand in with mine Anka, but yes i agree with Alex, there messy critters and in the future will look at going bare bottom tank. However they love the sand and always bury themselves under it, leaving me to panic thinking one has bailed out the tank even though it is escape proof.

Do you know how old your rays are?

I now i have had the male for about 8 month but not sure about the female.

Nice about the same age as mine then.

Have noticed my male trying to flip my females over and get busy with them. I think he may be ready (has huge rolled claspers for a relatively young animal) but they might be a couple months of yet.

I just have a question -

Lots of spots vs not many spots - what are the differences and why?

I.e. My friend brought supposedly a 'hybrid' ray - motoro vs mantilla I think (pearl stingray) but it just looks like an ordinary motoro.
Some motoro's have less spot like that female and that male has lots of spots.

I know I'm probably asking some stupid nooby question but forgive my naiveness.
There's probably maybe no real answer since its all up to mother nature prehaps?

Hay mate i think it really depends and the quality of the parents and as most rays grow the spots will get further apart thats what happen the my female the male is still young so i will see if he loses some spots when he gets bigger.
