BYAP is a long drive from up our way. A much cheaper and easier way is to contact Stirling Bulk Distributors, out in tenterden (WA disributor for skretting( - Speak to Jan.
She'll be able to sell you a part bag of the skretting pellets and send it via auspost to your house. MUCH cheaper and and easier than driving out to BYAP.
The last one I did I got 15kg of FF 6mm for $70 delivered.
Infact I need more 3mm - If I get 15kg do you want to split it? By the time we've gone through 7kg of this stuff they'll be able to take 5mm (and I've still got 7kg of that left).

The pellets dont sink immediately, more than enough time for the trout to smash the food. Common sense applies, only throw in as much food as the fish can eat in a short period. I throw in small handfulls every 20 seconds or so.
Also from my experiences trout go more wild on ss than ff - the ss seems to invoke more of a frenzy as they flash up and grab the food in mid-water and then smash the surface. Some days the trout can be spooked and less interested in hitting the FF where i can switch to SS and it gets them going nuts again.

Ah yeh fair enough, good idea. IIRC the Nova stuff has a slightly less percentage of protein but only marginally so.
