finally changed my filter to a new eheim cannister
here is the new setup:

this is the new CO2 reactor. its working, but doesn't have as much flow as i would have liked, so i may install a tap to reduce the UV flow...

Looking good Jezza!!! I havent seen anyone pump out Tri-Colours like you do.
Just a quick observation, i know you have been through your plumbing situation so many times already. Try and cut the inlet and oulet hoses of your Eheim as short as possible....this will result in a better flow rate, less restrictions and make it easier to prime (the plunger can only work so well)
What size Co2 bottle is that??? 5kg? It looks sooo tempting

thanks krystal - yeah the tri-colour goes well.
not as well as it did when it was under the MH tho, but i have ordered some 70W MH to replace the PC lights
but i do get about 5 new plants every few weeks...
umm, ok, i'll hafta trim it soon them (i had thought of leaving it longer incase i wanted to move the filter)
i need to put in a tap in to slow down the UV flow anyway, so i'll do it at the same time.
its a 6.8kg bottle - lasts about 9 months (i'm on my second bottle)
cost $320 to buy outright, and $45 to swap'n'go fill (from u'brew'it)
