So how do you use the gel mix?
Just add water to the mix.. Very easy.
Here's the video about AlgaeMax

I feed a mixture of staple sinking pellets.
Hikari lion head - high in protein and found I had less waste and poop. But made one of my bigger female ranchu floaty. Would prefer if the pellets were a bit smaller.
Currently feeding NLS sinking pellets with the enhance colouring + garlic. Less protein but no floatiness. More poop and waste though. The baby goldfish are getting the tiny NLS growth pellets.
I also make my own gel food using canned tuna (plain) as the base and add whatever veggies i have on hand and is cheap. I find there is the least waste and poop when I feed them this.
They also get hikari frozen blood worm twice a day. Sometimes frozen brine shrimp too. I found the aquaone brand very bloody and the worms look..empty lol

I have to say that using tuna to feed aquarium fish is nearly up there with feeding rhino mince to dogs or grinding up tigers for chook food.
