Hey all,

So I am planning on setting up a 120x36x45cm LxWxH tank as a tangyanikan aquarium. And was wanting some suggestions on what are some nice tangs that would be good in a tank this size.

I was thinking some Shellies and cyprochromis leptosoma but I am new to tangs and don't know that many species:

Cheers

We gonna be new tang-tank buddies red? haha

Keep us updated so i can copy your good stuff XD

My favourite tang are the Altolamprologous Calvus, Morley Aquariums had a breeding pair of Alto. Compressiceps (similar to calvus) that were just amazing.

Hi Red,

I had a Tang tank with that exact measurements, My stocklist was as follows (roughly, can't remember exactly  ):

15odd x C. Leptosoma Utinta

4 x Cuckoo catfish

5 x Alto C. Sumbu Shell Dwarf

5 x Jul Regani

Each specie had its own area (rocks, shells, open water, etc.) which made it very nice to look at!

Cheers,

Thanks for the advice guys... Just got a quick question...

Would a 4 foot be big enough for half a dozen xenotilapia melanogenys or a another xenotilapia or enantiopus species?

Thanks
