Looks fantastic!

I'd love to know the name of the fish on page 2 with the red fins and spotty pattern? M/F?

It's a sparkling gourami, no idea on sex, fairly easy to breed. Normally gets no bigger than 3-4cm.

Usually available at vebas, have seen them at pet magic cannington, I think Malaga aquariums.

Vebas did have them in there large planted display but they have since added altums so in 12 months there will be no small fish in there anymore I'd imagine.

I did until I bought the dwarf chain loaches, no longer a problem they keep the populations in check.

Well here is some Final updates, The tank has looked better in the last 2 and a half months since my last update, I apologize for the "hedged" appearance of the HM, i only trimmed it about 3-4 days ago as it was taking up almost the entire surface of the tank. to be honest the tank is looking pretty average at the moment as it got ignored during the christmas break.

This update is final as I have come to the decision to sell the tank to fund a few tank racks to allow me to start up a semi fish room,
The tank will be sale in the coming weeks with the 5Lx2Wx2.5H 12mm bevelled glass tank (only as old as this thread), the solid pine cabinet and hood, the inbuilt 436W of T5HO lighting, Rear foam wall with wier setup, custom intake and exit to suit the wier, 300W Jager heater (only as old as this thread). Filter will be optional, but including or disincluding will not change my asking price.

Anyway here is how she looks at the moment, over the next 2-3 weeks i will be slowly dismantling the rockwork and removing the fish, I'm keeping much of the smaller fish they will go into semi storage for awhile till I setup a smaller 3ft display, on one of the racks.

Thanks to everyone for your interest and comments, i'm sure i'll be building another crazy display in the next 12 months, I have custom shaped tank in my mind for next time :-P
