No pond cichlids for me this year...think I'll throw some pygmy perch or similar in the pond.

I've got a different climate so mine have been out all the time. Honey Blue Eyes, bristlenoses and killies.

what growth rates could i expect with juveniles?

Andrew; growth rate depends on many factors, size of pond (water volume), filtering and flow rate, oxygen levels and food. I have always found keeping the fish outside has great benifits to their growth and general well being.
Hey Adam what Killis do you have, I have the Orange Australe.

I have had Pseudomugil signifer P. mellis and Rhadinocentrus ornatus in ponds all winter, last week I put Glossolepis incisus Melanotaeni praecox P. tennellus and P. cyanodorsalis outside. Each pond is about 10000 liters with lots of plants, the Rhads mellis and sygnifer have had fry for about 6 weeks.

Hi Guys......
I have a pond that is 15m long x 5 m wide and 3 M deep.....that i put nearly all my fish in over summer........
Fish that goes into the Pond for Summer Vacation are:
1) Saratoga
2) Arrowana (No longer in the Pond cos the Saratoga attacked it!)
3) Giant Pleco
4) Sail Fin Gibbicep
5) Gold Spotted Gibbi
6) Mr M the Red eye Giant Gourami
They seems to live happily with all the Koi that is much much bigger than them...(70 cm) ..... and they are growing very big each day. hehehhe
We have a Vortex Filter and 3 other flow-on-filter system that is one third of the size of the Pond....Water is clear, the fish is Happy and they come up to eat with the Koi too....
Hope this help
