We share that dream mate. I can't see it happening though, not in a 6 footer and not with tank mates either. Coral trout are big, powerful, territorial and aggressive animals and I can't see anyone dedicating a marine tank that would have to be 2000L+ to a single fish. Would be bloody fantastic though! If I had the money and room I'd do it for sure.

There is a bloke up in exmouth that keeps/ sells this bigger stuff; sharks, rays etc. From what I have seen online he uses big 3t tubs for them.
Fingerling would be ok, but then you run into fisheries size limits. Maybe contact Daz from Ningaloo Aquaria and speak to him?

I have a coral trout an house it with a Epaulette shark, it's is apex in the tank the key to feeding time is fill it up then feed the shark. I'm going to look into a tub maybe or a 8-3-2 for my predators no reason you couldn't keep triggers with a trout, you need fish that will match its predatory skills.
