Hello to you all. Im new to keeping fish but have keeped birds for most of my life. Ive recently quit the birds and started keeping fish as they are alot less time comsuming and make a lot less noise! I love trying to breed any animal that ive even keeped so the first fish i bought with the advice from BIG KEV MALAGA AQUARIMS where DAFFADILL BRICHARDIS. I bought 6 young ones are theu are going along nicely. I then bought a colony of BENGA PEACOCKS which came with fry and have since gave me fry. I have bought a few other fish along the way eg bristlenose and im sure that i will get atleast one more colony of cichlids. I find keeping fish a bit addictive but power points will probably keep a lid on it for awhile. Oh, the naming of fish really gets me most of the time. Birds have much easier names to remember and associate with!

Hi wattojnr,

What birds did you keep?

I'm looking for a young female eclectus - if you know any reputable breeders in Perth let me know.

Daffodils are a great fish - good luck with them.

thank you both for your welcomes. I dont keep birds besides a few finches anymore. I dont know anyone who breeds eccies anymore but most of the bird shops sell them but of course your going to pay more. If you want an eccie for a pet i would advise you to get a male as the females tend to turn abit nasty around 3-4 years when they think about breeding!

Yeah true - I've got a couple of males already about that age, great pets.
