What Fish Is This?

Im putting it to the brains trust to id this fish for me.

Its about 7cm in length.

Its an electric blue.(Sciaenochromis fryeri)

Quite a lot of yellow dots in the tail. Is normal for EBs or does it vary from fish to fish?

I agree with Daz, I dont think they are supposed to have the dots.

Yeah all the yellow made me think it wasn't an EB.

Anyone ever seen one with this much yellow in it?

It is a juvie thing and they lose them as they get older?

I agree, I've seen juvies with them, they should go away as they grow.

Edit: actually after watching the vid again, there might be a bit of something ells in this, anal fin look too yellow, maybe it is the light...

Thread revival...after consulting the bible (back to nature) it would seem that the photo ad konings has in the book has an electric blue whos anal fin is coloured exactly like mine.

I'm guessing as it gets more towards full size the body colour will change to a darker blue?

In any case I feel more confident it's an EB
