here are a couple of fish snaps. i also caught scats, archer fish, boney bream, flat head goby, black catfish, hyrtl’s tandan, rendahl’s catfish, false-spined catfish, toothless catfish, glass fish and tarpon.

Mate they are some sweet fish, that's a Bice barra Mate 80cm+?
Those saw sharks are an incredible species did u report the tag to fisheries?

i work at murdoch uni in the fresh water fish group, we are the ones tagging the sawfish hahaha. tagged over 100 the last trip the big wet was good for them. the barra was smack bang on 80cm and came from a tidal area so tasted awesome!

That's good to hear the numbers are on the rise, the old mans got a saw from one of the sharks when he worked on a prawn traweller, the bill come up in the net, the poor shark got tangled and snapped it off, such a shame!

nice barra mate, always love top end fishin trips... i caught one about the same size as that on 4lb braid.. took me about an hour.. one of the best hours of my life

sawfish are more related to a ray, yeh they get themselves good and tangled in nets.

with garlic butter or cream and parsley sauce, mouthwatering. the massive ones are a bit mushy, but the medium ones are up there with king prawns

what is it we are going for? fish biology research, mostly on the fresh water sawfish. swagging it in the bush 200km from the nearest tap has to have some perks haha
