Scientific Name: Melanochromis joanjohnsonae
Pronunciation: Melen-o-chro-mis Joan-john-son-aye
Trade Name(s): Pearl Of Likoma
Distribution: Makulawe Point Likoma Island
Habitat: Rocky Shoreline
Diet: Nymphs, Insect larvae, crustaceans & algae
Sexing:Males are blue, Females are greenish blue with rows of yellow spots
Maximum Size: 10cm
Temperature: 24-26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability:They pop up now & again, but certainly not a common species, most of time you will find males.
Comments: A pretty little Mbuna that looks great in a community set up, Males can be a little agro so watch in a community tank.
