I have chosen here for the question as it seems the best choice when no headings seem to fit - I thought an Elephant nose may not eat Red Cherry Shrimp but after reading up it seems their mouth can open bigger than it looks - could this be right - is there anything that could share a tank with RCS without wiping them out???  thanks mal

Otocinclus catfish, Corydoras, small bns, Baby shrimps make great food for any hungry fish.

You have to provide a lot of plants and driftwood so the RCS can hide and sustain their numbers. Then maybe you can try small tetras.

I kept dwarf gourami, royal whiptails and neon tetras with them, really nice little display... No sign of shrimplets though.

The problem your going to have is that the baby shrimp will get eaten, so eventually the population will die out due to old age.

I kept some Aust threadfin rainbow`s with mine for a long time. They looked good and only ate very fine foods like fry powder.
