Nice looking ornates you have there mate.

I'll have to get some updates of my guy soon. Has put on a good bit of girth since I got him. Quite agro for a bichir though and ive kept a few over the years. Theirs always exceptions to the rule.

I also got a 25cm Barra the other day. Who has settled in well into my 8x3 tankbuster tank. Good feeder, have to fill him up with a good fgew whitebait before he will let any sink for the other bottom feeders to keep. I love barra in general, great native and a cool aussie tankbuster, seriously over-rated. US keepers love em'.

Do you mean Under-rated?

I wish I could have large enough tanks to have a couple tankbusters, when I'm older perhaps.

C. lopis

The pics don't do this fish any justice. He looks a little worse for wear as it has been battling a freddie for his log. One tough knife fish - fights back like a cichlid!

Will try get some better shots soon. He's ~30cm

He was bough as a spotless CK, but all I have been told and researched leads me to believe its a C lopis.

He's in a 8x3. With a few bichirs, catfish and a few mixed CA cichlids!
