Hi folks!
I'm in the midst of creating/constructing a mini fishroom and for the rearing/fry tanks i'll be using sponge filters. I'm very keen to make my own sponge filters (air powered) and would like to know whats the best and most suitable sponge types to use? Does Bunnings sell them etc...? I'm aware that sponge filters are cheap at LFS, but I would like to try my hand at making them etc...
Thanks in advance..
Cheers!
Kevin

the filters are that cheap (if you ask for a beter price when you buy more than 6) that it is not worth it to make your own, unless you want to pay more just for the fun or it.
but the sponges you get outside the LFS will disintegrate when the bacteria get in them. so get the sponges from the LFS.
