Hello.

I'm chasing some advice on feeding my cichlids.

I have just finished cycling the tank, ammonia 0 nitrite 0 ph 8 nitrate around 5.

I have also just moved out the tank cycling team (back to the lfs) and moved in the permanants.

Now I have 5 yellow labs, and 2 bristlenoses. (All between 30 and 40mm)I just dropped in an hikari algae waefer, and all bar one of the bn's were in there. Should i leave it in there until it goes, or take it out after x amount of time? I read people saying the feed for 30 seconds, im not sure they would get much, or anything out of a wafer in that time.

Should i switch to a smaller pellet?

Any answers would be appreciated, as this is all in real time.

cheers

TJ

I have never taken any pellets out, I would just cut a heap in half and check every now and than to find out if you have fed too much or not enough. I usually go by an hour but that's me personally. everyones diff
