Chris,
I have a few Occellatus probably almost at breeding size in my tang community tank. I could hazard a guess at females simply by the way that they have set up their shells (i.e., they have started to defend their shells against all comers, but they have not started breeding yet).
Let me know if you want to come have a look.

Cheers

I do not know if it is true, males have a yellow rim on their top fin and females have a white rim. What area do you live in?

I'm in Kingsley
I'm sure we'd be able to get a look at their fins... I put about 12 from two separate pairs in my community tank just to grow them out and see what happened. I haven't looked at them all that closely, but sure we could manage to pick out a female.
Cheers

Hi Colleen
I would like to arrange a day and time to look at your ocellatus. I work during the day so after 4.30pm on a week day would be good for me, I tried your email and it doesn’t work my email address is adinajewellers@bigpond.com
Thanks Chris
