i had a look at your model, i have redone some of the modeling cause lines didn't match up and a few other problems but it looks better.
The biggest issue i can see is the height of the first section. When the power in your tank goes off you will only have around 45 50 litres of area for the extra water that will drain from the main tank. If you have calculated the amount that will drain out of your tank and is less than this then all is good, however i am still concerned.
here is a link to download your model after i have tweeked it.

ok i have got it now, could you please lower the baffles so it gives me probably 100L spare space?
i think that would be enough, maybe another 75mm off the baffles or something like that? are you able to add dimensions to it?

my tank is a 4x2x1.5 and it will have a beananimal coast to coast wier in it with the emergency, normal overflow and overflow.

and ofcourse a return line that will drain back in the event of power out, and the return line will also split into 2 before it enters the tank

ok So i got a little bored Check out this model if this is exactly like what your dt is i wouldn't worry about your sump volume.

I have done a calculation and if your wier is anything close these dimensions its wont be an issue, with the sketch i have done there is about 11 litres of water in the wier to the top of it so allow say 10 max when its running. Also i added in 2 return holes in the back pane cause you mentioned that before.

well thats virtually it except the return holes will come into the tank just below the weir on either side. So like you have done there except below the weir box so it will jet strait into the tank and add to water movement.

and yes there will be non-return valves before going into the tank or a head loop i havnt decided yet.
come to think of it its probably best to go back through the weir for safety reasons

if you use loc line you can bring the returns over the top of the wier without disturbing the wier
