masa is a great place to start, theres like a sub forum in masa called MASWA. <<< its west australian based smile.gif

this is something ive learned. Dont let the fear of something being hard stop you from doing it, marine tanks are actually easily maintained if your well organised smile.gif

To true Joe I was a bit daunted by marine tanks to start with purely because I didn't know enough to start one confidently, I've had marine for around 18 months now and I find the key is research but even this gets hard as we still have so much to learn about the ocean smile.gif did you know in the last few years 6000 new species have been catalogued in Australian waters alone!! And some of these species were found in places were people frequent like shallow reef areas smile.gif I'll find the article and post some excerpts up for ya smile.gif

Cheers
Nick

sweet that sounds good,
yeh theres definitely not as much information on keeping marine tanks as there is freshwater.
I guess thats what makes it fun haha, i bet theres alot of things you learn on your own.

Yeah Joe the majority of what I have learnt so far is from setting up a tank and observing things in different conditions smile.gif I have heaps of time on my hands for the next few months if you ever want to pop in and play tanks I'd be grateful for the company smile.gif and we can do some experimenting too lol

update,
changed a few things in the tank around. Added some more rock and corals.
excuse the algae haha, pretty hard to get on top of at the moment. Invested in a mini clean up crew (snails) from Nick to try help with the algae.
other than that its all going well.

Joe
