Better still put up a list, so we don't have to go east.

Would be nice to know when sponsors get uncommon species in.
I have to agree, When I was at Midland I tried to do this quite often.
Yes it does take time but it is great for the members and IMO its great advertising!!!
Brings all the boys to the yard!!!!

There is also Facebook and email - leave your details, even do it every month.... When we get a hold if something, you will be the first to know....
Wow! Less than $3.00 each from the hatchery at 4cm.
Did they tell you what the MOQ is???? And then get permission from our friends at the WA Anti Shark/Shrimp Department to get them in (commercial quantity).... Yes, beggars can't be choosers in our Nanny State.....

I Do understand why you didnt advertise them earlier and thats why Aquotix are one of only a few lfs with great reputations in Perth. But it is difficult to support a sponsor if, to your knowledge they dont have what you want.
Im not criticising Ollie but ive given up calling LFS about natives. Unavailable usually and expensive when they are.
Unfortunately it seems the only way for me to own some of the fish I want is to bring them in from over east.
However if I know an LFS has what I want then I happily buy local, knowing I am supporting a business that supports the hobby.
I, like a lot of people, have no interest in facebook... Yeah I know my choice, my problem.
I think Az is on the money though with use of PCS for advertising.
Just my $2 worth.

Rumor is they are from someone in NT with a wild collection permit, who also knows how to charge...

Quarantine at the airport is one thing, but dealing in large quantities of Jacks will involve fisheries due to the aquaculture status of Jacks and the required Translocation Permits..... That is the hard part if living in WA.
Does this hatchery have any Jacks ready to go? I thought no one was doing them in Oz any more due to their aggressive nature as they get older - too hard to raise them up, so they all moved onto other species....

Not at the moment, they are currently conditioning them.
Apparently they need more special blue pills
