Hey everyone
Just updating
Bought a new tank yesterday some of you may have seen on gumtree
The 7.5x3x2, 1200l only cost me $400 pre drilled
Metal stand, few heater and some nice wood and limestone

I also have a 4ft and 6ft at the moment both with white sand wanna change it up

So anyone got any good suggestions for the substrate? Was thinking a medium sized natural brown coloured gravel

Also thinking Saratoga, few American cichlids, peacock bass
Gonna invest in a ray or two in the future what are some awesome tank busters I could chuck in there?

Thanks for reading

Murray cod cant be kept with anything else... If its too small it will be killed by tank mates if its a bit bigger it will soon kill its tank mates.

Just remember 'toga's have a reputation for just one day looping out and going postal on tank mates.

Love the idea of big americans with rays though... As long as the cichlids dont harass the poor ol rays.

Ok awesome thanks for response

I currently have leitchardi (sorry for spelling if it's incorrect) might attempt to have 2 togas but if I was might go a jardini for some change or stick to the Lee again? Also how many bass ? Also if anyone knows of any of any snook going round
Besides the massive ones on gumtree

What colour is river sand?

I would say leichardti would be better as they are known to be less aggressive. Not from personal experience but i did research as I was looking at getting one.

Also,river sand is a nice white/cream :)

I think a mangrove jack could handle itself fine :)
