That's what I thought too.... Could it be that it's just a white convict? Maybe someone with some albinos might be able to answer that. smile.gif

Hey Klienz

It's just the onboard flash on the Nikon as well as twin T8 unit, but I built a small reflector box to sit on top of the flash to diffuse and spread the light a little, I found that just the onboard flash is a little harsh smile.gif

Nice diffuser then, Riggers. You inspire me to see if I can't rig something for the nifty.

Gareth these are Scotty's albino beasts.

Can't have blue eyes as that would be pigment, which means not albino, AFAIK.

Leucism = a variant in the species that produces no colouring in the skin, it happens in a lot of different species smile.gif

After a bit of research it isn't an albino convict but a line bred variant often called the ivory, white, pink or gold convict, I'm guessing that the name 'albino' convict has just stuck with them but in actual fact there not albino at all smile.gif

Does anyone have any true albino convicts we could compare with?

The Pink Convict Cichlid is a pseudo-albino of the Archocentrus nigrofasciatus Convict Cichlid
