Yeah I swapped him some Alex. He had a big bag of Massivore that was to large for the Birchir.

While the set up seems to be about fish, correct me (someone more knowledgable) if I am wrong, but don't a lot of those plants prefer not to be in gravel?

Just curious what quantity and frequency of water changes people would recommend for this 4x1.5x2 with the following stock:
- 2x adult bichirs
- 9x adult congo tetras
- 1x adult butterfly fish
- 5x 4-5cm kribs
- 2x 11cm petricola

I have 2 x eheim 2215 filters.

Currently doing 30-40% water changes once a week.

Tank has a few plants in it.

I do a gravel vac for poop and plant debris once every one or two weeks.

Andrew ill trade you that two tone male of mine (that you like) for your female wink.gif

Or even better Ray, if yours is a female wanna sell it to me laugh.gif

i think about 30% weekly will be sufficient, its not a huge bioload and the plants are obviously going to help bereak down nitrogenous waste etc. Your filters are quality and seem more then sufficient, its just the feeding of foods etc that may a problem but not sure of what foods you feed and how much etc. But im sure that its not a problem.

Those Bichirs look amazing. I can only hope to own one or two in the future. Your tank set up looks awesome too.

Thanks for the kind words.

I'm hoping to breed them, so fingers crossed there will be some on the market in 6-12 months!

Lovely tank Anka and nice choice of fish. The congos really set it off.

Anyone seen any butterfly fish around? I wouldn't mind getting some.

Thanks Daz. Doesn't compare to your tang tank though sad.gif

CF in Nedlands had a couple when I was in there a few weeks ago.
