Looking at buying a Mini Mal if anyone has one they're looking to get rid of? Any recommendations on places to surf? Only did Trigg but it was packed and hard to learn without getting in people's way!

Its an awesome feeling!
I use to body board back in my teens. I was out every weekend. Absolutely loved it. Just so happens I visited the place I use to surf many years ago on Monday..

This beach is called Goats beach, Along the very end we use to climb over the point & get chased by the farmer who owned it (With a gun) it was like a ninja mission. Wait wait wait RUN!!!!! But on the other side there was a secluded beach that had some of the best waves Ive BB'ed. We would get a lot of dolphins and fish in the waves with us as well, that was awesome.
The main beach was ok for Surfing but had a lot of rips that were very nasty at times. I know from experience. Very scary a few times.
The beach directly below me in the pic was called rebounds, the waves would come in on an angle and rebound off the rocks causing a bigger wave to surf.

I didnt get a pic of my fav break its on the other side of this lookout. The beach is called wedge. Smaller waves but REALLY clean & some of the BEST barrels...
Wait till you get your first barrel.. 20yrs later and I still remember it. It is the ULTIMATE feeling..
Anyways I'll stop yabbering on now Enjoy surfing, But have respect for your surroundings!

Definitely not up for riding barrels anytime soon plus I'm 30 so pretty happy to just cruise (hence the mini mal)!
Been looking on gumtree at a couple of boards and plan to buy one this weekend. Can't wait to get out there just wish I had got the bug before summer finished lol

I don't surf but I do go out looking for decent waves to body surf every weekend. Love it but holy hell, if you get it wrong you get totally smashed! Pretty much the only exercise I get these days, half an hour of it and I'm totally gassed. But it's a great feeling... Not so great getting smashed and getting up to see the Missus and kids laughing their heads off!
