It might be worth working out what wiped out your original ones so it doesn't happen again.

I have the 10k and it is very bright. It even worked for my marine tank corals until i upgraded.
I think the 8500 is more than enough.
The kelvin rating is related to the colour of the light, not its intensity.
10000k is a 'bluer' looking light compared to 8500k, which will be more of a 'white' light.
Jezza, to match the light in the picture, I would suggest 10000k.

Thanks Riggers. Yep, running pressurised CO2. Can't have a proper planted tank without it in my opinion.
