is this normal I have a reading of ammonia .25ppm nitrite 0 and nitrate 10ppm

been cycling for bout two weeks. I have about 6 glass shrimp in the tank I

caught wild and a rhodactis coralimorph that came with the live rock.

Shane,

 

I think it would need to cycle longer than 2 weeks to get to 0 ammonia. Mine took 6-7 weeks before fully cycled...was very frustrating.

thats what I thought I will have to check again tonight coz now im reading 0 ammonia 0 nitrite and .25 nitrate was showing .25 ammonia this morning

Shane... how long after feeding did you do the test? to get the most accurate readings testing should be done 6-12 hours after feeding

Havnt been feeding just letting it be i checked again and i have ammonia .25 nitrite 0 and nitrates .40

Maybe false reading... Too weird to have ongoing ammonia and no nitrite but steadily climbing nitrate.

this is the test I did this morning, my ammonia is still showing but only just

I will do a water change tonight and then test tomorrow.
