i aquired a trio recently, 1M 2F, one has a mouthful, and i was wondering peoples views on these as i know there is a bit of tension about marbled peacocks and the like. also what kinda price do they sell for at 4-5cm?? cheers for any help

What they are worth depends on who your selling them to. I'd probably give you 10c each to use them as feeders, but each to their own.

I'm often surprised they even try pass these off as dimis. Shape is often more like a peacock then a dimi.

thats rubbish .the body is exactly like the dimi comp they dont resemble a pea cock in the slightess.avid aqariu have sone for sale

That is your opinion.

Firstly it has nothing to do with 'the body', my problem is with how the head looks. Everytime I have seen them in the flesh I have thought they look somewhere between a peacock and a dimi. Not to say some don't look more like a dimi. Not sure why someone would choose to keep these guys over such a classic malawi in the Dimi comp.

Each to their own.

your right some pics i have seen do resemble a peacock on the net.the ones i saw recently though were exactly like the dimi comp head and all but with marbled body .i think the albino is much nicer

yeah i got the trio from the shop mentioned, only because they were something different
i also have a few albinos growing up, for future breeding

IMO all the marble fish look crap, they remind me of the speckled goldfish. you can't beat the original as nature intended type fish i recon. cheers Steve
