Marine Engineer, 5weeks on/5 weeks off, out of the port of dampier, the rig we are working is north/west of exmouth, last swing we broke a 83mm wire trying to retrieve an anchor at around 1300m of water, 1000m of it dropped to the sea bed equating to around $130k worth lost, best thing about it is, sh*t happens when working deep sea and $130k is not even pocket change for these big oil/gas players.
