Most of them were bought from a LFS and the rest came from a friends tank smile.gif

What are the tank requirements for sea horses? Wouldn't mind setting up a tank for some. Running a fish only system what rank size ect would I need.

Seahorse tanks are pretty simple, you can get away with a small cube tank, not too difficult or expensive to setup. But with any setup smaller water volume will need more maintenance smile.gif

So for example a 40L all in one nano would be fine. In terms of water volume ?

I don't see why not, though you'd want more height IMO, my mate has lost a few because I think the tank A: isn't high enough for the seahorse to swim and B: there is too much in the tank in way of rock/coral. Simplifying it would help I'd say smile.gif

Around $30-50 depending on type I believe don't quote me on that I'd have to check smile.gif

They really require a bigger tank than what most people give them, The biggest issue is food. They don't fully digest their food so they require multiple feedings through the day. Also brine shrimp isnt a staple diet for seahorses. Mysis is considered the best frozen food. I can keep going on but there are forums and heaps of information on them. I would have said check out the seahorse sanctury but i have been told they have closed up most of their setup. They are very interesting creatures but they are also specialized.

Fish and crabs aren't a good idea, the fish will out compete the horses for food, the crabs may see the horses as a potential snack.
With that size tank a pair of seahorses is about the max. Pipe fish are pritty much the same as seahorses so treat them the same.

Yeah I agree with Neakit here sounds a little overstocked, for 100lts I'd go a couple of pipefish and seahorse, have a look into nudibranch's too.. Unreal creatures ey!
