I thought F1 was wild caught, was asking her on a fb page and a couple of others agreed that its not the first batch of hybrids, just wild caught?

What does it matter anymore, people bullshit about F1's so much these days you can never be 100% sure.
People don't have decency anymore, it's all about the money and not the fish :(

Good lord, lol, as a hybrid I'd say they're not that dangerous to the hobby being sold as venustus, because they are a shocking standout, hah ha.

Might just be but numerous sellers use photos from the internet to either save time getting photos or what their selling isn't good quality or to the size they are advertising.

I always thought that it was a legal issue posting photos of other peoples fish/shrimps etc and pass off as your own without their consent?

If "wanting" to buy I can understand but you are selling people false information because photos are the first thing buyers see.

Sorry to rant but I've had this done to me many times already from sellers posting bullshit photos.

I always try to post photos of my fish so buyers know what they are getting.

That banned user "HappytheCow" did something similar to this and scammed some poor soul out of some $$$

I don't want to see that happen again, so thought I would warn people. Buyer Beware. May be legit, but I usually wouldn't spend money on something I can't inspect first

Sorry - a bit off-topic, but sort of related.  What are people's thoughts on shops advertising fish they have in stock using photos from the net without declaring the source of the photo?  I've even seen shops using photos of variants we don't even have in Australia.

Short version: No, Shouldn't be done. You should always have your own photos.

I used to work at Signman and the biggest offenders were Massage/Aromatherapy customers wanting signage with nice pictures of massages that they can do.

Trying to take photos of your own customers in the dark at those spas are impossible as well as hard to get approval to take a shot. Normally you needed a model. So they always supplied me images.

Here is one classic that they all loved to use.

hot-stone-massage-flower%20%281%29.jpg

Do a general seach on Google and you could find every photo that they use.

The more intellegent ones would purchase their images from a stock photography website instead.

But usaully they were always trying to do everything on th cheap.

Interestingly, I used to have to search for sample images while the customers were sitting next to me.

Never search for 'Facials' with 'safe search turned off' while a customer is sitting next to you.

Oh yeah: About 9 years ago, I got to do Vebas Signage, looking a little tatty now but looked awesome back then. They supplied me great photos for their windows :) from their own tanks. Thanks Pacco.

I dont mind people using googled images... I expect that to be stated in the ad though. This discussion came up here a year or two back where a member had inadvertently used another members image sourced from a google search... some interesting responses.
It can be hard to get a decent picture sometimes so if a pic is available that is a fair and reasonable representation of the fish for sale then, meh.

Not a real good bargain but they sure saw him coming tho :

Standard size Stand and the hood in perfect condition,
Got it from fish shop, its for larg size fish tanks.
Fish shops usually make they larg size tank in this size.

I Paied $1000 just for the hood a year ago.

Yeah right

The good thing is that it's the exact same larg size that the fish shops usually make.

To be worth half of that it would have to be Jarrah and that would be one heavy hood
