Ondinia purpurea or as it has now been changed to Nymphaea ondinea subsp. purpurea
This plant is beautiful but a plant that has still to be grown in tanks or ponds successfully.
I was lucky enough to be with Dave Wilson and a few others to collect some of this from the Kimberleys.
And no one was able to keep it alive past 1 generation ( flowering season )

i dont think there is any Aponogeton madagascariensis in western aus
so you make the best of what you got

I agree with Kleinz that cryptocorynes are great plants, so they would be a close second, followed by the red lotus or tri colour lotus plants
If I was to choose a stem plant, then I really like ambulia

im definatly with you on that stem ambulia looks awesome but it must be very tasty?

My favorite changes by the week! This week it is Ludwigia Glandulosa, got mine growing awesomely!
