I want to give my little jack the best nutrition, but he wont eat dry foods. I've had him for about a month now and is nudging 7cm, but will only eat live food (endlers that I breed). I've tried not feeding him for a couple of days, and then introduced nls and hikari. He will take it but spits it straight out. I've also tried pieces of fremantle sardines (uncooked) but still no luck. Any suggestions guys?

Maybe, get a freo sardine, push the hikari and NLS pellets down the sardines mouth, and attach a piece of fishing line loosely around the sardines neck and move it fast, to simulate a live fish, maybe try it

Starve him for a week and try something softer like New Era. All of ours started eating it before we sold them, just have to be cruel to be kind.

Like ollie said starve it, if its been well fed a week of no food wont do it any harm at all. Mine loves new era, i think because it is soft and tasty they are more inclined to eat it over dry pellets.

New Era make a frozen food enrichment. Basically it's an emulsion containing the vitamins and minerals in the pellets. It's used with frozen food and also with the fresh fish etc used at the public aquariums. It helps when transitioning the fish from the wet fish diets to the pellets as the fish are used to the smell.  Gut loading fish with the pellets will also help because it introduces the goodness of the pellets with the meat the fish is used to.

Cheers
