Hi folks
Just chasing up whether anyone has bought praziquantel powder say from eBay overseas and managed to bring it in?

I know food stuff is not allowed. And antibiotics are generally not either due to it being highly controlled here.

But since praziquantel is already available on the shelf at our pet stores etc I was wondering if it's ok?

(I want to dose a pond so the blue planet fluke and tapeworm tabs aren't really an option. I have used the powdered internal/external parasite powder stuff from aquotix too, but just want to know my options)

Thnx
Chocky

If they're not allowed, then you probably shouldn't be asking about it on an open forum
I wouldn't risk it. Maybe try the fish vet?

Thanks for that suggestion. I'll keep it as back up plan.

Though after a bit more research (read google) on the stuff they reckon prazi is still better for flukes.

Maybe I'll just call up customs/department of agriculture. Ergh...

To save you a lot of cost/issues, PM me with with what problem in what situation in what size water body and I might be able to shed some light on better active ingredients that have a wider scope of treatment.... And where you can get it....
