Hey all
So after a lot of researching, trolling through forums, a trip to the library (they have cool books) and even purchasing Ads book of Tropheus I've finally made a positive ID of my trophs.
They were sold to me as ilangi and at 3cm it was hard to tell, 5-6cm they started showing a nice yellow belly so I was still under the impression they were ilangi.. I hadn't really thought too much about it until they started to pump out the fry.. So 3 years on and I have healthy adults and no idea what variant they are until now!
Ads book of Tropheus confirmed that what I have is in fact 'chilanga red', similar location to ilangi, Nkamba Bay, but totally different tropheus variant.. Anyway I took a few snaps tonight and these were the best of the bunch
Enjoy

Nice Tropheus... Very nice colouration. To Identify the various species in the hobby could be tricky sometimes unless you buying them from a reliable source...
