Maybe possible on both depending on size and the thickness.

Cut perspex to size
Lay tank on its side
Mark where window is going
Heat perspex in oven till flexible
Sit on side of tank till it's cool
Cut hole to suit
Where is the tricky part?
Round tanks are better than square, you can easily create vortex flow for easy crap removal.

Blues better anyway, black would be to dark for a tub.

On second thought pink would suit you better, that way the black and blue fish will pop but at the end of the day it's your decision. Let's hope you make the right one.
