Has been a while since I posted in this thread.

Have since got new rims as the factory ones didn't fill the guards enough IMO. Car has also been lowered. Wouldn't mind doing something different than the current front grill in the bumper.

I like the bigger rims , I'd still look into a small alloy wing and a larger mouth on the front

ive owned a few skylines, an STi and a 6.0L Maloo and honestly i will never go back to rice. I was all about rice, had a R33 gts-t running around 330rwkw with a ball bearing turbo forgies etc, couldnt bring it back to WA thought because it didnt have a catalytic converter and wouldnt be able to get registration (had a 4" trust exhaust all the way from the turbo out the back, would set car alarms off). BUT in saying that as clunky and heavy and terrible handling the maloo had, the 6.0L with a stage 2 race cam and twin 3" exhausts from active automotive near aquotixs, putting out 460 rwhp, with a noise from angles of death, it was so much more fun to drive than the ricers. The Sti sucked massive ones, it was the Liberty STi, and was all swanky inside but with the same power as the rex and there was only 250 made, i will never buy another subaru, being there sporty as it gets, it was very boring and much a grandad's car!

currently have the new FJ cruiser, loving the 4wd'ing and go anywhere at the moment

Mmm them rims fill out the guards nicely. Looking real clean daz. I agree, new a front grill/front bar would look nice with a black/cf front lip, black/cf side mirrors and spoilerless/subtle wing. An Agressive Clean JDM track look, black and red theme wink.gif don't forget a orange tow hook haha

I wouldn't write off Subbies of yet. The Wrx STi's may be rated at the same power but they sure don't drive like a liberty that's for sure.

Hilux in sight.

Took the day off for some driver tuning / track time. Will be the last time for this lil baby as she's on the market. New toy arrives in a couple of weeks.

In the old days I owed a VW Bug.... Those days the noise it made gave it the name DakDak... Now-a-days, when I hear a WRX drive past I swear it sounds like my old Bug... If I still had the old Bug, it would be classed as a cool car huh?

I really cant see the wank facta in noisy exhausts.... My quiet V6 VT Commo can out do some of those noisy hotdog muffler wearing, VDub sounding ricers....

I 'spose it is a case of "look at me, without my car I am impotent...."

Primates like chimps make lots of noise by shaking tree branches to try to intimidate others and bluff dominance in the group.... The fact some people need loud exhausts proves some of us humans still cling to primitive instincts....

Ok, rant over
