#332311 Fs: 40Cm Mangrove Jack

Posted by Shane_H on 10 December 2014 - 09:25 PM

Regretful sell.

Specialist predator fish. Currently lives peacefully in a tank with a 60+cm barramundi. No guarantees it will live peacefully with a new tank mate, but as far as jacks go, its a pretty friendly one.

Currently in near fresh water. Eats everything from frozen foods to dog biscuits. Only want to sell to an experienced fish keeper with a large enough tank to accommodate it.

$300

PM me if you're interested.

Its only a 6x2x2.5 (dont kick it). The grand pan was to put them in my pond with a heating system but cash flow and kids in the last couple of years has kind of put that project on the back burner for a while.

Had my Jack in with my Barra for 3 or 4 years now. Both co-exist happily (although the Barra is the boss in the tank). Very entertaining around feeding time.the Jack is around 40-45cm.

#193560 Marron And Redfin

So back then if you were of indigenous decent you could catch your tradional food (european redfin) and fish in your traditional hunting location (Mundaring Weir)? haha. Thats gold.

I can imagine there'd be some thumper old ex-home pet koi and carp swimming around in there, totally protected by recreational fishing restirctions on the drinking water source. Must be a fair few other surprises lurking in there too.
