I have a thing for "Show us some cool stuff" type threads on other forums, and seeing as I've been encouraged by Kieran I've decided to start a Rainbowfish photo thread here. Some of you would have seen some of these photos (I've posted some of these a while back) and some of them have never been shown before and others are new wink.gif Some are average and some are decent, but here goes.

Melanotaenia trifasciata "Goyder River"

Melanotaenia boesmani

Chilatherina bleheri

Melanotaenia duboulayi "Kangaroo Creek"

Melanotaenia praecox

Now only a few more hundred to sort through including M.praecox, Ps. mellis, signifer, furcatus, I.werneri and Rhad ornatus.

Happy Kieran?

The Kangaroo Creeks are a bloody nice fish. Those pics were taken earlier tonight, I'm a little out of practice photographing Rainbows. Cichlids are a heck of a lot easier wink.gif

Maybe there should be a 'natives' photo comp category? This all lines up nicely with our 'new' responsible native environmental husbandry philosophy.

Very nice! I like the trifasciata "Goyder river" shots.

I agree with you on these types of threads - they help get people interested in different types of fish. I'm looking forward to the next lot of photos.

I'm not sure if they still have them but I hear Pet Magic Cannington may still have some left.

My M.parkinsoni aren't as easy to photograph as Patrick's. I'm still trying to get some half decent shots of mine.

I REALLY need to throw another fluro onto the tank with the Rhads. A single fluro doesn't cut it *shakes fist* I should have a new flash in the next few days and then it's "fun time"

My "Display" Male Rhad I got from Leo has been really fired up since I've put some Deepwater Creeks in with him tongue.gif

Flexing (Otherwise known as I'm in focus.... time to change direction) wink.gif
