Siamese Algae Eaters

07 May 2014 - 08:03 PM

So I've noticed some tiny amounts of BBA popping up in my newest tank, I was thinking of putting in some Siamese algae eaters as an attempt to knock it on its head before i get an outbreak.
Has anyone used them for this purpose before? or know of any other ways to combat BBA? I'm a little wary using chemicals as the plants that have BBA are prone to melting (so I hear, Mini pellia)

Does anyone know of a LFS in perth that might have them? the other option I was looking at is some Darwin Algae Eaters (I know these can be found at aquotix sometimes)

Cheers
