Got 12 of these guys off Ray a while ago. Unsure exactly what ratio.
Waiting for a couple to pair off and I'm going to separate in a tank out the back and have a crack at breeding them.
Here's a couple of pics of what seems to be the alpha male turning it on after a water change this evening!
If anybody else is keeping/breeding these guys I'd love to see some pics and hear some advice.
Cheers,
Sam.

Don't seem much rarer than a lot of geo's. Very pretty though. Wish I had more tanks for some

Would love to hear more. I'm still going to give it a shot regardless. But any previous knowledge would be much appreciated.

Seems to be a few over east if you Google, but let's face it, all eartheaters are pretty thin on the ground here.
What substrate are you keeping them on and at what pH?

Thanks Poncho. Do you or any of the other sponsors sell it? Wouldn't mind buying a copy.Sam, get a hold of the eartheater book by Thomas Weidner. There's a copy in the pcs library.

Klienz: Substrate is river sand and PH is 7.2. Just what comes out of the taps. I don't use buffers in any of my tanks.

Nice looking geo,
Had some back home. Now the old boy is looking after them.
No breeding as yet. But he just bought 6 adults. So hoping some new fish will liven things up.
The average price for a second hand one is about $150.

Well there rarer then most available in oz that's for sure Kleinz. Seen any at the local lately ? Thought so

The first ones I saw were actually in an LFS. I didn't think much of it at the time cos I thought they were just another mislabeled fish.
But they were legit.
Maybe ask this guy for some info, he was selling fry he bred back in 2011.

Cheers for the comments guys.
I definitely wasn't saying I had the only ones. I just hadn't seen them before in Perth and was interested in who else was keeping/breeding them.
That price list is simply something that someone sent me, who I think would have a definite idea of their availability Australia wide.
I don't keep/breed/buy or sell fish to make any sort of profit. I purely enjoy the hobby and have so for the last 13 years or so.
Thanks for the link Ronny. I have seen that post before. I will message him but won't hold my breath seeming it was 2 years ago.

Maybe not so much in Perth cos people don't like to ship stuff in.
I put up that link also to show that they've been around for a while now.
Good chance he's still active either here or on ACE.
Good luck with them

beautiful fish, but wouldnt say they are 'very very rare'
as long as you didnt pay too much.
