Type of filtration: hood filter and internal
Frequency of filter cleans: once a month
Frequency and % volume of water changes: weekly 30%
Last water change:yesterday 50% and another in an hr

Any recent changes..new fish/filters/power outages etc etc:added the featherfin a week ago and started using new spectrum pellets


Hey all, as you may of gathered I'm looking fish on a daily basis. Started with a cobalt zebra two days ago. Then I lost two peacock and a 3rd one yesterday. Today I woke up to my ey and lombardi upside down on the bottom of the tank and I don't have a clue why. Or for that matter how to stop any more deaths. The cobalt had a weird small lump underneath just behind the two side fins. The first two peacock that died lost all their colour. The last 3 deaths however, all the fish have appeared normal besides being dead.

Any ideas?

Hey all my male livingstonii around 12cms changed colour over night...from a desert camo to a really dark black/blue. He's always had a blue tinge but completly lost his sandy type colour. Normal or not?

Hey all. My powerhead that runs my hood filter keeps stopping even after pulling it apart and cleaning it. 3 days later its not working again. It's aquas one and only about 9 months old. Is it worth getting a new impelled or just a new powerhead. I can't figure out why it stops. Any ideas?

Bought about 7 rocks off malaga aquas last weekend. The biggest one just won't sink. Had it submerged for a week now with a solid stone on top. Is there anything I can do to sink it? Or is it just a dud. I got a great discount when I bought them so not bothered about the money.....its just there is a position in my tank waiting for this rock.

Hey all, less about lighting more about filtration. Did a water change...cleaned the filter media...on Sunday. Waterflow is heavily reduced today. Hood filtration btw. I don't think the filtration can handle my cichlids. Should I look at adding an internal filter as well? Any suggestions would be appretiated.
