Scientific Name: Labidochromis freibergi
Pronunciation: Lab-id-e-o-cro-mis fry-berg-ee
Trade Name(s): None
Distribution: Chizumulu & Likoma Islands.
Habitat: Turbulent rocky areas.
Diet: Aufwuchs, invertebrates.
Sexing: Male's are a metallic blue with light blue through the upper body to dorsal and dark barring.
Females are a muddy green/brown color.
Maximum Size: 11cm
Temperature: 24 to 26c
pH: 7.5 to 9.0
Water Hardness: 300-400ppm
Availability: Rare in Available in Oz.
Comments: Once a popular species, Labidochromis freibergi is now a very rare species in Australia, They are a beautiful little Mbuna, but can be aggressive. If you find any, please let MD Admin know so we can try to breed this species back.
