Bore Water

Hi,

I've been told that if you have a Bore you can use this water and not have to use any chemicals and it has ideal Ph levels is this true?

My mate gave me ta pair of Hongi a few weeks back but i am only famaliar with the "Red Top" specieses and i can not find what species these are any help would be great..
