I was discussing this in the catfish section, I can make up Breeding caves for people. My dad works as a potter (he makes pots) so we can make up Bristlenose Breeding caves mabey even other breeding caves.

Can people just post some designs or ideas for them? also if you have in mind a different breeding structure that you want built just post it.

Just as a estimate i can probably make the caves for $10 each (less the more you buy), thats just a estimate though it may be less depending on how much it costs to make.

I'm very interested Nic. Andrea made some a while ago, these are her photos:

I don't think you need glass, you could have a flat clay bottom too I reckon.

Let me know if you can make caves like that.

The ones in the first photo is a definate but the other photos would be hand made but still possible.

Also the clay bottom would be easy.

Ok can people just post how many they are after so i can just get a ruff estimation?

It's not a dedication to the amount you say just need to get a estimate for the machine.

So what ones do people like most? What do you want 6 of?

I can defiantly say we will make the half Circle long tubes, I just made a demo (throw by hand) and a Round Igloo type cave with a circle on the side for other fish like convicts, Apistos etc.

What types are people interested in mainly?

I have to make the square tubes by hand so if you order like 10 it won't change in price but it will just take time.

The estimated prices so far are:

[list]
*Half Circle: 17.5cm x 12cm (10cm inside) x 8cm = $12 each/ 10 for $10 each

*Square Tube 17.5cm x 8cm x 8cm (may change) $15 each

*Tube With Circle Half way 17.5cm x 12cm (10cm inside) x 12cm (10cm inside) = $10 each/ 10 for $8 each

[list]

Those are just ruff prices and they may vary.

As i posted in the other thread, I might have to make a more specialized Breeding Log or even a smaller version for Bristlenose then.

Ok so the more bristlenose specific breeding caves can have alot narrower entrance, I can do 6cm and still have about 4cm height. Ill have to make up another Mock design tomorrow.
