I have acess to these great little fish for the first time in Australia. They only grow to 8.5 - 10cm.

From what I've read, they are one of the more interesting synos (and most of you would know how much I love my multipunctatus). Well these are supposed to have much more character than multies.

They have a bold yellow and brown striping pattern, which is uncommon for the syno family , who mainly tend to be black and white.

I don't have actual pics of the fish yet, but the following link will give you an idea of what they look like. I'll be getting pics in the next few days.

The basic requirements for them are:

pH:7-7.4 or Sydney tap. So very easy to keep.
Egg layers like petrocola and breedable (so I've read).
May form pair bonds, but will do even better in a colony.

So basically if anyone has looked into breeding egg scatterers like petricola. these should breed the same.

This comes from a website: "Feeding is never a problem as they will readily take all manner of prepared and frozen foods with gusto (it was pretty fun watching my smaller Microsynodontis zip around like nervous bundles of joy during feeding time)"

They are 2-3cm and $65 each or 10 for $600. Remember they only grow to 10cm max, so a 3cm juvenile is already on the way well and truly.

If anyone can find other better pictures of them as adults, I'd appreciate it. The juvies are extremely cute

The fish are in Sydney, but as a few of you I've dealt with in Perth know, shipping them isn't a problem from here.

Anyway, let me know who would be interested and the numbers you would be after and I'll organise my delivery trip from there. If yopu are interested in getting them shipped intestate, email me.
