You don't mention what size fish you're after. I have some lithobates about 4-5 cm, although not many left now.

Cheers

Hey Lindsay,

Sorry, I can't offer you any of the fish you are after :lol but you are aware that the moorii and annectens will cross aren't you?
You also want Protomels Taeniolatus females. I am guessing you already have the male but you don't specify a location or a species even and a lot of the girls look very similar in those instances. A lot like peacocks or cyps.

Yes Anita I am well aware of the annectens and moorii crossing, as mentioned the purpose for this tank is display if I was confident that they had not crossed (viewed the spawning) I may milk the female if not I will let her spit the young.I have previously had up to 30 tanks over 15-20 years and have promised my wife this will not happen again.

The protomels I am chasing are Namalenje Island (RED Empress)

hehehe no worries. My display tanks are also breeding tanks so I don't often differentiate between the two.
Mtchye used to have some absolutely awesome red empress. I am sure he sold them but you may be able to get some info off him and maybe track down some of the younger generations of these fish.
