does anyone have any idea of how electric yellows would do in a large outdoor pond from about early-mid spring through summer to about mid autumn which is when theyd be harvested. is there another type of cichlid that would fare better and can still be sold in large numbers for a decent price per head.
im also considering stocking a cichlid that is non canibalistic to offspring of its own species, therefore minimising fry losses. Any ideas?
cheers
Elliot

I have the following in an outside pond:
P. acei
L. caeruleus
F. rostratus
S. fryeri
C. moorii
They went in late spring and will be coming out around April. I have found that the L. caeruleus have growned the fastest...and the F. rostratus have not done so well.

I was lucky enough to have a look last time i was round, its quite impressive! but i think it'll take quite an effort to remove the plants and catch the fish!
