B/n Fanning Issue

my main male breeder has been some fanning eggs for over a week now, i know theres eggs in the wood hole, as ive had a quick peak.


im pretty sure they are only spose to last 5-6 days correct? before hatching, hes been gooing at for over a week...could they be unfertilized? any help would be appreciated...

5 - 6 days is not necessarily correct.
I have had them fanning in caves for up to 2 -3 weeks before.
I have found that they are still fanning sometimes after the eggs hatch and keep fanning up until all the fry have left the cave.

That's just in my experience............ I'm sure others have had diff experiences.

Mine also fan the whole time they are in the cave in many cases.

How long they take to hatch depends on the water temp also.
Mine always seem to hatch within the week but the male keeps fanning as a way of protection, atleast until they lose the egg sacks.
Sometimes until after they have all left the cave.

well shows over about 20 small wrigglers are already out and about.....with i assume another at least 50 ( the last fry amounts have been 30 then 50) to come..... so in total im 3 tanks i think ill have close to 160 bn fry raning from wrigglers to 4 cm fish JEEZ
