My Discus Breeding

caught my discus in the act last night, had no idea these guys were going to breed so soon. maybe later in the year i will get a blue diamond male or blue turq male to breed, not sure what the fry will be like with the current combo. i also have a overcrowded tank so will have to make heaps of changes if i plan to get into breeding discus.

they have been cleaning the filter inlet for a week now and this was just before she started laying the eggs:

the female starts to lay the eggs:


and finally the eggs!


the male kept eating the eggs as she laid them and eventually she ate the remainder of the eggs, this was their first attempt and i am sure they will get it right soon. thanks for watching...
